This may be the friendliest camping site in Germany, probably due to the fact that the owners are the permanent residents. Very often the permanent residents at camping sites are annoyed by us who come and go. Not so here, we are seen as brining in money for the maintenance and development of the site.

The site is partly occupied by permanent residents (or those living there in the summer and in Spain etc. in winter), while those that come and go, will find pitches at a lightly sloping area just inside the gates and reception, and up to the side of the service house. the easiest thing is to park in the same direction as the main road.

There is a small \"Kaminstübchen\" room serving bier and so on, and most days some soup or simple dish.

So far the electricity and showers are free, but they are slowly installing equipment that may measure electricity, so I would not be surprised if it is minimum free next time.

The only, for some, big problem with this place is GPS. In practical terms, more or less no 4G. I had the pitch nearest the free WI-FI, but even sitting at the bench beneath the antenna, I did not get workable connection. According to the staff, the problem is geography.

Prima camping voor de doorreis en iets langer. Sanitair was netjes schoon. Aardige mensen bij de receptie en ook in het kleine restaurant. Genoeg te doen in de omgeving.

Prima camping voor de doorreis, met voldoende sanitair in 1 gebouw wat ook nog eens fantastisch wordt schoongemaakt. Veel vaste verblijven, van caravans met aanbouw alsook allerlei zelfbouw, maar op het veld voor de tijdelijke verblijvers heb je daar geen last van. Dame van de receptie is bijzonder vriendelijk en ook de vaste verblijvers. Het is feitelijk een vereniging en al het onderhoud wordt in eigen beheer gedaan. Als de wind uit de verkeerde hoek komt heb je wat last van de 2 km verder gelegen autobahn. In het nabijgelegen Salthausen zijn 3 grote supermarkten.

In de gids staat dat de camping dag en nacht rustig is. Dat klopt niet. Overdag is de er langslopende weg een storende factor. Een paar bomen scheiden de camping van de weg waar heel veel en hard gereden wordt. De camping was verder prima.
