we have been coming to this campsite for years and are really saddened to see its deterioration. There’s no toilet paper or seemingly cleaning schedule for the facilities - and the staff seem disorganised. We were asked to move our van ‘ because it was too small ‘ for the pitch we were on - despite there being lots of spaces for bigger vans and paying the same price as our bigger neighbour.

UNE BELLE ETAPE
Accueil très sympathique. Beaux emplacements plats, sur herbe et bien délimités. Terrain bien entretenu et environnement calme. Au bord de la Vienne sans en avoir la vue. A 10 mn à pied du centre de Chinon et de la forteresse. Sanitaires moyennement propres. Tarif correct.

Heeft een perfecte ligging tegenover het Unesco plaatsje Chinon met en oude fort/kasteel

Très bon séjours en septembre 2023 ,accueil sympathique très bonne dégustations de vin de chinon avec vigneron sympa, le camping n'est pas bruyant le soir pour cette période

Sanitaires sale le terrain non Tondu accueil partiellement ouvert habitué depuis de nombreuses années nous ne reviendrons plus

Bon accueil mais sanitaires déplorables (certainement pas nettoyés depuis très longtemps) pas de brosses WC, ni de poubelles dans les toilettes. Végétations non entretenues. Dommage car le site est exceptionnel (vue sur le château et camping très bien placé)

Een vriendelijk ontvangst, mooie grote plaatsen, op wandelafstand van het centrum, goede prijs-kwaliteit,in een mooie omgeving aan het water.

Nice basic campsite with pitches that are not that well marked out. i visited in September when it was quiet but could see it getting congested and cramped when busy. toilet/shower facilities were individual rooms that were excellent - roomy and private, but also very popular (understandably).
location is a short walk over the bridge to the town (market on Thursday is ok) and to the castle
