We felt the standard had gone down since our visit 3 years ago. Sanitaire looking tired and showers luke warm (although one of the blocks is currently closed for renovation). We had a burst pipe on our pitch for 3 days and maintenance very slow to repair. Pitches are in poor condition and bare patches are dusty in dry weather, muddy in wet. Very busy site over the weekend and unable to use the jacuzzi etc. due to numerous children and babies in there! Probably won’t return.

I was last here at this campsite over 30 years ago and even then it was one of my favourite places but I've got to say that now is even better we had issues with our car and staff on reception were excellent in helping us out every where was spotless only issue for us was that there was no hot water in the shower block but just used the van so we'll worth it's 5 star ⭐

What a gem of a place, if you must visit this site in the Dordogne. Walking distance to roque st Christophe, food in restaurant superb, and takeaway, all the staff including owners could not be more accommodating, we hired an electric car from the campsite which enabled us to explore further afield without the stress of driving a Motorhome on the twisty narrow roads. toilet block was spotless. The owners must be so proud at what they have achieved. the recycling ethics also really impressed.

A large family run campsite (very much a business) with several pools including a jacuzzi, some closed for maintenance in low season. There are chalets and tents for hire as well as touring pitches. The site has a restaurant, bar, ‘epicerie’ where you can order bread daily. There is a pool table and a library. Free wifi. The site is very eco friendly, campers are given carrier bags for their recycling which they can take to the bins on site. We were also given a bag for compost (compost bins on site), bags are available free of charge at reception. There is also a swap booth where campers can leave unwanted items for fellow campers to take and use. Also, there are charging points for electric vehicles. We had a sizeable pitch which was a mix of hard standing and grass with electricity, water and drainage next to the pitch. A clean and large partially heated unisex ‘sanitaire’, the other block was closed. Annoyingly, the toilet lights were on a short timer therefore if you needed time you needed your own light, flapping one’s hands didn’t work. You had to physically leave the cubicle to activate the light. The washing machines are quite pricey with small drums costing 6 euros a wash but the machines are new and self dosing, therefore you didn’t need your own powder. The heated outdoor pool is 1m deep, busy with families on weekends and holiday periods. The indoor pool served schools during the week and had limited use for campers. We were much to our surprise given a bottle of wine for staying a week. We would certainly return for a stay. One of the best sites we have used in the Dordogne, an area we love.

All round excellent site. Staff are fantastic. Cannot be faulted on any aspect.

Immaculate gardens, riverside setting, fantastic staff, lovely ‘proper’ restaurant …. and unlike so many other sites, ALL facilities remain open until the very end of the season. Cannot fault any tiny thing.

An almost perfect camp site in every way. We have been staying here regularly over the last 30 years and it never fails to impress us on our return. Each year the pitches and surrounding hedges, trees, plantings and flowers seem more beautiful. The owners, managers and staff could not be more welcoming and helpful. The facilities are all that is needed and the swimming pool complex great.

This campsite gives you access to all the Vezere valley has to offer . You can relax in a beautifully landscaped haven of peace or explore the many attractions this area has to offer . Make sure to Ask at reception for information on guided walks , cycling and other activities.You will not be disappointed.

This is the second time we have visited this beautiful site in the Dordogne and couldn't believe that once again it surpassed all our expectations. the family are totally committed to providing a wonderful holiday experience and couldn't do enough for us. the toilet and dish washing facilities are immaculate, the pools are exceptional, clean and inviting, the restaurant was very good value, entertainment, even in September, really good and it's like stepping into a private garden. They deserve five and above stars
